  3. It's happening!

    I wonder if there is significance to them beating the previous year's runner up.

  4. Im new here...You think Oilers will beat the Penguins in the finals this year? What are your predictions for the other series. Kinda picky to choose who wins between the Sens and Rangers...my guess would be: Oilers overs Blues Semis, and Penguins over Rangers Semis..Then Oilers over Penguins in 6/7

  5. This year's cup will be a tribute to Gretzky.
    99th Stanley Cup, his number was 99.
    I don't know who makes the final but I believe the Oilers will win because of Connor McDavid.

  7. I did a little digging into the NHL Playoffs. There are only 2 Canadian teams remaining, the Ottawa Senators & the Edmonton Oilers.
    It turns out that the Ottawa Senators were founded by Bruce Firestone back in 1883 and have a famed history of winning 11 Stanley Cups, and playing in the NHL from 1917-1934.
    In 1990, the NHL awarded Firestone with a new franchise using the same name. The first season for the new franchise launched in 1992-1993.
    Like you mentioned, the last Canadian team won in 1993, 24 years ago.
    The Senators were allowed back in to the NHL in 93, also.
    This will be the 134th season since the Ottawa Senators were founded, also.
    Stanley Cup = 134(rev. ord.)
    Stanley = 93 (like the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup)
    (the year they began their first season back in the NHL)

    Also, if they win the Stanley Cup this year, it will be their 12th title.
    Twelve = 24

    Their captain is Erik Karlsson = 53,82, 152, 172.
    He was born in Landsbro, Sweden.
    Landsbro =131
    Landsbro, Sweden = 223
