Very interesting draw today for the Champions League qualifiers.
The staunchly Catholic team from Glasgow, Celtic FC could face staunchly protestant team from Belfast, Linfield FC, on a very significant date, July 12th in Belfast!!
This is the date that the Protestant Orange men march in parades all over Northern Ireland to celebrate the victory of Protestant King William's army over Catholic King James' army from the year 1690..
Linfield still have to beat a team from San Marino in order first this to happen, which no doubt will.
Celtic have a huge rivalry with their neighbours in Glasgow, Rangers FC. (Also a protestant supporters team).
I suggest you Google, "Old firm derby" to get the history of Celtic vs Rangers, one of the biggest rivalries in Sports!
