GAA guys... Mayo to end the 65 year drought tomorrow!

Probably not many GAA guys out there but I think Mayo will cause a huge upset tomorrow and defeat the heavily fancied Dublin team.

Mayo coach, Stephen Rochford got the job on 11/30/2015 or 30/11/2015 as the date is written in Ireland. 64 years after Mayo won their last All-Ireland title.

The 64th prime number is 311. That's similar to the date Rochford took the job, 30/11. (take the zero out).

Also, former Mayo player, Greg Maher just passed away on the 15th September,

The football season got under way today on 9/11.

The Vikings opened their new stadium tonight with a 23-10 win against the Chargers.

Also at the end of the game, FOX had the score up as 24-10 instead of 23-10.

If ya remember, 24-10 was the final score of the last Superbowl!

Texas Rangers possible World Series Champ?

The Texas Rangers today made a big splash before the deadline.

I had a look at their roster and found that their pitcher Alex Claudio, has a birthdate of 1/31/1992.

Watch out for the Rangers!

Colts have 1/31 player (Stefan McClure) on their roster!

Its early, but looking at the Indianapolis Colts roster,
they have Stefan McClure on there.

Will England's Wayne Rooney retire??

Wayne Rooney has played 114 games for England. 

Today's match will make it 115.

I'm guessing England wins today and then lose to France in the Quarter Finals.

That would put Rooney on 116 appearances just like Ibrahimovic. He retired after Swedens loss to Belgium.

Rooney is only 30 years old and it would be quite a surprise but sometimes these guys retire from International soccer early and concentrate on their club career.

Should be interesting none the less... 

Martin O'Neill and the 1982 World Cup...

The manager of Republic of Ireland, Martin O'Neill actually played for Northern Ireland and back in the 1982 World Cup was also the captain.
The World Cup that year was played in Spain.

It's a little ironic that now the ROI happen to be drawn against France, (the hosts) at the last 16 stage because back in '82, Northern Ireland were drawn against Spain (The '82 WC hosts) at the last 16 stage also.

Martin O'Neill's team went on to win that game (1-0), with a Gerry Armstrong goal, despite being down to 10-men for 30 minutes,  in a famous night in N. Ireland's sports history.

The Republic of Ireland finally announced their Euro 23 man squad today.
One of only two teams left (Slovakia were the other) to whittle their squad down to 23 players, ten days before the tournament gets under way.

The good news is that, Jeff Hendrick has made it. So Ireland will have a 1/31 birthday on their team.

Up until today, Ireland's squad was actually 35 players!!
Slovakia only had 25 and all the other teams had already finalized their squads days ago.

Firstly, I believe from experience at looking at this that the 1/31 birthday is tops. Then would be the May 11th birthday and then gematria.

 Okay, I took a look back at past European Championships and World Cups.

I like Nyquist. I know he's the favourite but still, he's got a 131 connection (the jockey).

Now, having seen what happened in the Premier League with Leicester City and then Mark Selby from Leicester winning the Snooker World title, I'm thinking the Derby might be connected to the Stanley Cup.

Nyquist is named after the Detroit Red Wings player of the same last name.

Mark Selby won his second World Snooker title today, the same day as Leicester City won the Premier League.

Mark Selby is from Leicester.

His win came 11 minutes after Leicester City won.

(He also has a daughter, born on 11/11/2014).

In 2014, Selby also won the World Championship, (his only other win).
That was the same day that Leicester City celebrated their promotion to the Premier League on an Open-top bus parade!

Premier League Drama - Leicester City's Jamie Vardy Suspended

Jamie Vardy has accepted an FA charge of improper conduct toward referee Jon Moss in Leicester City's game against West Ham last Sunday. Vardy was going to miss this Sunday’s game against Swansea but now will likely miss the next game against Manchester United and possibly the game after that against Everton.

The race for the Premier League title is expected to get closer now.

Spurs have closed the gap to 5 points after Leicester could only draw 2-2 last week and Spurs demolished Stoke City 4-0.

The Jamie Vardy loss for Leicester is huge but you would have to question the timing of this suspension.

4 matches left, Leicester in the driving seat and then they lose their best player and the League's top goal scorer.

Hmmmmm.....

But, as I said before, Leicester do have that the January 31st birthday.

I believe the Vardy suspension is to manufacture some excitement into the final few weeks of the title race.

Spurs may come back into it and it may come down to the final day

but... in my opinion, Leicester City will prevail.

But why Leicester City, why isn't it another team to have this 'miraculous' season.

Roy Keane, 2002 World Cup incident

Roy supposedly had a row with Packie Bonner and criticized both the manager, Mick McCarthy and the training facilities.

It's interesting that Roy missed out on that World Cup.

In the article I was reading, there were numerous references to the word "Obscene", (Like an "obscene" amount of money). Clooney was even quoted saying it twice.

As the playoff picture is now complete, I went through the rosters and found the NY Islanders have a guy with a January 31st birthday.

Mikhail Grabovski, has been in the league since 2006. He hasn't won a Stanley Cup yet. Could this be the year for him?

This is the 99th Stanley Cup. There's a buzz around that there will be some connection to Wayne Gretzky, (his number was 99).

Gretzky did have a bit of a rivalry with the Islanders in the 80's.

His Edmonton Oilers lost to them in 1983.
